Crowdmark Workshops

Crowdmark is an online collaborative grading and analytics tool that streamlines the marking process for educators. This user-friendly web application transfers the grading of paper-based assessments into online grading through bulk scanning and a clever identification system.

Paper-based assessments with short answers, diagrams, multiple choice, and math questions are ideal. Benefits to using this tool include:

  • Provides a real-time and asynchronous, chatroom-like discussion space (similar to Slack) that is intuitive and easy to use.
  • Hosted at UBC, meaning there are fewer security concerns with using the tool on a day-to-day basis.
  • Enhanced academic integrity
  • Grading effectiveness and performance can be monitored while the team is evaluating student work
