(Webinar) Leveraging Learning Analytics to Support Students with Personalized Feedback

    Time: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Timely and meaningful feedback is key to supporting student success. It can be challenging, however, for busy instructors with a full course load to provide personalized, holistic interventions to help their students stay on track to achieve course learning outcomes. This session will explore how strategic use of learning analytics can help instructors with this. We will discuss how the Canvas integrated OnTask tool, can be used to send students personalized messages about their performance, along with customized advice on how to improve. We will also provide a demonstration of Canvas Course Analytics and Quiz Statistics, to show how they be used to identify students who might be struggling in the course. Lastly, we will offer suggestions around thoughtful assessment structure that will ensure students receive formative feedback early in the course, to help ensure their success.
